Shounima’s Questions

What book inspires you the most? (It can be inspires you to read, pursue a career or just life in general).

The book that inspires me the most is the entire Junie B. Jones series. That series is the real reason that I started reading. I got Junie B. Jones is a Graduation Girl by Barbara Park from my second grade teacher as a graduation present. And I stayed up for hours reading it. Then I’d wake up at 5 every morning during the summer to read it (and the other books in the series) over and over again.

If you could turn any series into a TV show, what would you pick?

I’d turn Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series into a TV show simply because the plot would be amazing. But only if they very carefully followed the books, otherwise I’d be very dissapointed.

What superpower would you want to have?

Erm… I feel like this question is such a loaded question. But I think I’d probably want to be able to read minds. I don’t know why but I’ve always found the idea of knowing what’s going on in other people’s minds absolutely fascinating.

What is the last book you started but could not finish?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I started this for BookTube-A-Thon and couldn’t finish it. And I don’t really have much motivation to pick it up because I’m busy being a college student.

What is your favorite unlikely ship?

I don’t really ship characters that often. But I’m going to assume that this is in reference to ships that are unlikely to ever be canon and say Johnlock. I, without a doubt, ship Sherlock and John together so hard and I hope that it’ll happen in some alternate universe.

If you had a dinosaur, what type would you want and what would you name it?

I would like a pterodactyl because I love the way the word “pterodactyl” is spelt with it’s silly silent ‘p’. I’d probably name it, Samiera.

Well, that’s not entirely true. It’s name would heavily depend on what type of personality my pterodactyl would end up having. But at the moment, Samiera sounds like a pretty good name.

What got you into reading? Was it a specific book, a person, and event or something else?

My parents have always said I just loved reading and honestly I don’t think there’s a particular person who sparked my love of reading. But there are a bunch of people and books who definitely kept my interest in reading alive when I was young.

In terms of people, that goes to my Auntie B ( who isn’t related to me by blood but I still call auntie) and my second grade teacher Mrs. P. In terms of books, Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park and the entire Anne of Green Gables series by L. M. Montgomery.

My Questions

1. What’s your most frequently read genre?
2. Do you like fanfiction? And if so, what ships do you mostly commonly read in fanfic?3. What places would you like to travel to?
4. If you were going to write a book, what would it be about?
5. How do you rank the different formats to read book: audio book, hard cover, soft cover, and ebook?
6. Which character would you like to trade lives with for one day and why?
7. What book do you want right now more than any other?

  1. I stumbled upon this post while lurking on your blog just now, haha! Thank you so much for nominating me! I’ve already done this award, though. Oh and, I’d want reading minds as a superpower too. 😀

  2. Thank you for the shout out! Junie B. Jones is awesome. I see you’re still not over the Throne of Glass series; we’ll give it a few more years 😀 . Finish Pride and Prejudice whenever you have some free time, it’s cute and mushy and MR. DARCY! Johnlock would be my number one too!

    1. Thank you for nominating me! I don’t think I’ll ever be over the Throne of Glass series- it’s AMAZING!
But, Mr. Darcy seems like such a jerk… so far. Johnlock is the greatest!
